A Montessori Certified Teacher, Certified also by the Texas Education Agency (Early Childhood and Kindergarten).

Assistant Principal, Certified by the Texas Education Agency, Master’s Degree.

Elementary Teacher, Certified EC-4 by the Texas Education Agency. Reading specialist, preferred.

Agricultural/Industrial Arts Teacher, Certified by the Texas Education Agency. Part Time or Full Time Depending on Skills.  Must have be able to prove skills to teaching Welding, Precision Metals, etc.  Prefer ability to pass national welding certification program and able to teach to that level. Marfa ISD has a history of a strong Industrial Arts program; a new facility is being built this summer for  an Industrial Arts shop. 35 – 50 students a year participate in these classes and program.

Marfa ISD is always looking for qualified substitutes, for the classroom, cafeteria, and custodial services.

Substitute Pay Scale:

Classroom Substitute/NonDegreed $65 Local  per Day

Classroom Substitute/NonDegreed, 60 + Hrs College $70  per Day

Classroom Substitute/Degreed $80 per Day

Classroom Substitute/Certified Teacher $90  per Day

All employees including Substitutes must be fingerprinted by the state. There is a fee of $56.00 that must be paid by the applicant. The finger printing can be completed in Presidio or Alpine.
